Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA General Medicine examinations and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review veterans' records, perform comprehensive physicals, and document findings with precision.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA licensure in California.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation before evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
