Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations, review records, and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines.

You will perform comprehensive physical assessments, prepare detailed medical reports, and ensure HIPAA compliance while collaborating with clinical and admin teams. Flexible scheduling options (FT/PT/PRN) are available, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and documentation prior to evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
