Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a clinician to conduct VA General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review veterans’ medical histories, perform comprehensive physical assessments, and prepare detailed reports with strict adherence to privacy and regulatory standards.

The role requires an active NP or PA license with a collaborating physician where required by state law, and offers flexible scheduling with no on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
