Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to perform VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review Veterans' records, document findings, and prepare comprehensive medical reports.

The role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) with no on-call duties and compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations; strong independence and collaboration within clinical and administrative teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and admin teams to finish evaluations on time.
