Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to perform VA General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review veterans' medical histories, perform comprehensive assessments, and produce detailed medical reports while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role offers flexible scheduling (full-time, part-time, or PRN) and requires independent work within established clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension General Medicine examinations.
• Review patient history and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
