Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified NP or PA to perform VA Disability Benefits examinations (C&P) and complete DBQs in accordance with VA guidelines. You will review Veterans' medical histories, perform comprehensive exams, and document findings.

This role offers flexible scheduling (Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN), no on-call duties, and a supportive, compliant work environment. The successful candidate will work independently within established protocols while collaborating with clinical and

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
Collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
