Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified NP or PA to conduct VA General Medicine examinations and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in line with VA guidelines.

The role involves reviewing medical history, performing comprehensive assessments, documenting findings, and delivering clear medical reports while complying with HIPAA and state/federal laws. Applicants must hold an active license, a supervising physician agreement where required, and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active NP or PA license in good standing.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently within clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete DBQs accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to complete evaluations.
