Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires and comprehensive General Medicine evaluations for veterans. You will review records, document findings, and ensure reports meet VA guidelines.

The role emphasizes independent practice within clinical protocols, collaboration with administrative and clinical teams, HIPAA compliance, and timely completion of evaluations.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with supervising physician as required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Review Veterans' medical records prior to each evaluation.
• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations and complete DBQs.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Prepare objective medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal laws.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to meet evaluation timelines.
