Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a qualified NP or PA to perform VA Disability Benefits DBQs and comprehensive General Medicine examinations for Veterans. You will review medical histories, document objective findings, and prepare detailed reports in line with VA guidelines.

The role requires independent work within regulatory and HIPAA standards, with collaboration across clinical and administrative teams. Flexible scheduling options (FT, PT, or PRN) are offered; no on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician, where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
