Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to conduct VA General Medicine examinations and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) per VA guidelines. You will review medical histories and supporting documentation before each evaluation and produce thorough, objective reports.

Responsibilities include comprehensive physical assessments, ensuring HIPAA and state/federal compliance, and collaborating with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Collaborative agreement with supervising physician per state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
