Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a licensed NP or PA to conduct VA C&P General Medicine examinations, review medical histories, and document findings for Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) in line with VA guidelines.

You will perform thorough physical assessments, prepare objective medical reports, and ensure HIPAA compliance, collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to meet deadlines. This role offers flexible scheduling (FT/PT/PRN) in Grangeville, Idaho.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license.
• Must have a collaborative agreement with supervising physician where required by state law.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) General Medicine examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical history and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments.
• Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Ensure compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
