Job summary

Pearce Services in the United States is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician I to support 100% travel on utility-scale solar farms. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ground-mount PV systems, inverters, and power plant equipment, delivering safe, quality work on schedule.

You’ll operate company vehicles and tools, complete logs, follow OSHA/NFPA 70E safety standards, and collaborate with field teams.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of utility-scale solar experience (solar farms)
• Experience with megawatt-scale PV systems (ground-mount)
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills (inverters, DC systems)
• Experience with solar O&M / maintenance work
• OSHA/NFPA 70E safety knowledge and on-site compliance

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters and string circuits
• Perform testing: LOTO, IV curves, megger tests, IR scans
• Conduct O&M on utility-scale solar plants
• Inspect finished work for quality and safety standards
• Enforce OSHA/NFPA 70E on-site
• Diagnose system issues and resolve them in the field
• Complete work orders and required documentation
• Operate and maintain company vehicle and tools
