Pearce Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician I to work on utility-scale solar farms across North America. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain ground-mount solar systems, central/string inverters, and associated equipment with a focus on safety and timely completion.

The role demands 1-2+ years of utility-scale solar experience, strong electrical skills, and familiarity with OSHA/NFPA 70E. This is a 100% travel position offering competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of utility-scale solar experience.
• Experience with megawatt-scale PV systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience with solar O&M.
• OSHA/NFPA 70E safety knowledge.
• Experience using multimeters, megger, amp clamps and testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems, including inverters and wiring.
• Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger testing, IR scans.
• Perform O&M on utility-scale solar plants.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety.
• Enforce OSHA and NFPA 70E on-site.
• Document work orders and logs.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle and tools.
