Job summary

Pearce is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician I to support utility-scale PV systems across North America. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform O&M on ground-mount solar farms, inverters, and related electrical equipment, ensuring safety and schedule adherence.

This 100% travel role requires hands-on electrical skills, familiarity with OSHA/NFPA 70E, and the ability to document work orders and tests while representing Pearce in the field.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of utility-scale solar experience required.
• Experience with megawatt-scale PV systems (ground-mount).
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• OSHA/NFPA 70E safety knowledge and on-site safety discipline.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar systems including inverters.
• Perform testing: LOTO, IV curve tracing, megger tests, IR scans.
• Carry out O&M on utility-scale solar plants.
• Inspect completed work for quality and safety.
• Enforce OSHA/NFPA 70E on-site.
• Diagnose system issues and resolve in the field.
• Complete work orders and required documentation.
• Operate and maintain company vehicle and tools.
