Job summary

Emerson is seeking a sales professional to join its Power & Water Solutions Renewables team, focusing on utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, or wind projects in North America. You will own a regional portfolio, drive growth, and engage with owners, operators, developers, EPC firms, and OEMs.

You will identify and pursue opportunities, build competitive strategies, and deliver presentations, while maintaining forecasts and CRM updates. Travel up to 75% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of sales or business development experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in renewable energy, power generation, or industrial automation.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities by mapping the market and engaging potential customers.
• Collaborate with existing customers to uncover new projects where Emerson PWS solutions deliver value.
• Develop competitive strategies by providing differentiation insights, pricing recommendations, and leading negotiations.
• Deliver technical presentations and demos to showcase new products, enhancements, and services.
• Recommend tailored technology and service solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
• Stay informed on industry trends and share updates with PWS management to guide strategic decisions.
• Represent Emerson at professional meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
• Achieve annual bookings and margin objectives within your territory.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and update the CRM system regularly.
