Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support Project Management across safety, planning, scheduling, cost reporting, budgeting, and bid development. This role requires coordinating with diverse on-site crews, maintaining drawings, and delivering submittals to clients.

The successful candidate will travel to projects regularly, ensure adherence to contracts, and contribute to overall project success through strong communication and planning skills.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• 0-3 years of Project Management/Construction Management or related experience in a utility construction environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements.
• Identify and report project status and all issues requiring attention to the PM.
• Provide ongoing communication and timely identification of pending or actual changes to the work that may impact costs, schedule, or contract.
• Gather information to maintain project record drawings, including drawing log and As-Builts.
• Provide technical support for construction and participate in planning.
• Update/maintain construction schedule.
• Interface with on-site construction crews ensuring safety, quality, and schedule.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure housekeeping and storage compliance.
• Ensure subcontractor activities align with Purchase Orders/Contracts.
• Prepare and submit all project submittals and weekly/status reports to Client.
• Travel to project sites regularly.
