Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support project management in safety, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, reporting, and budgeting for electrical utility construction projects.

This role will involve cost reporting, change management, submittals, and client communications, with regular travel to project sites and close collaboration with on-site teams. You will gather information for record drawings, provide technical construction support, and help maintain the project

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive computer skills including familiarity with Primavera P6, Microsoft- Project, Access, Excel.
• BS/BA in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
• 0-3 years of Project Management/Construction Management or related experience in a utility construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project engineering complies with contract requirements.
• Identify and report project status and issues to the PM promptly.
• Communicate changes to costs, schedule, or contract to the PM.
• Maintain project drawings, drawing log, As-Builts, and updates.
• Provide technical construction support and planning.
• Update and maintain construction schedule.
• Coordinate on-site crews ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Conduct routine safety audits and ensure housekeeping and practices.
• Ensure subcontractor activities comply with PO/Contract.
• Prepare/submittals: safety plans, environmental plans, JSAs, tests, weekly/status reports.
• Travel to project sites regularly.
