Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support Project Management in safety, planning, scheduling, cost reporting and budgeting. This role spans submittals, change orders and client communications to keep projects progressing on time.

The ideal candidate will manage drawings, support construction planning, and coordinate with on-site crews, while ensuring safety and adherence to contracts. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs.
• Read and interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications.
• Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Access and Excel.
• BS/BA in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements.
• Identify and report project status and all issues requiring attention to the PM promptly.
• Provide updates on pending or actual changes impacting costs, schedule, or contract.
• Gather information to maintain project record drawings, including drawing log and As-Builts.
• Provide technical support for construction and planning.
• Update/maintain construction schedule.
• Interface with on-site crews ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Support safety audits and housekeeping practices.
• Ensure subcontractors activities follow Purchase Orders/Contracts.
• Prepare and submit project submittals and weekly status reports to client.
• Travel to project sites on a regular basis.
