Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Permanent Utilities Project Manager to lead the utilities division on large construction projects. You will oversee underground utility design, installation, and maintenance, coordinating with clients and contractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in land surveying with SUE experience, proficiency in Civil3D/Carlson, and strong PM and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying with proven SUE experience.
• Experience with Land Development Desktop, Civil3D, and/or Carlson Survey.
• Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team coordination.
• Proficiency with project management software and other relevant computer applications.
• A valid driver’s license is required for regular site visits.
• PE certification or PMP certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the utilities team to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders for planned utility aspects.
• Apply subsurface utility engineering expertise to design, install, and maintain underground utilities.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, and specifications for projects.
• Identify, track, and resolve risks and issues related to utilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify work aligns with specifications.
• Provide updates to senior management on project status and achievements.
