Job summary

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) seeks a SUE Project Manager to lead subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination efforts from planning through construction.

You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and technical execution while ensuring quality control and strong client communication. The role involves coordinating with utility owners, design teams, and field operations, developing work plans and ensuring timely design decisions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred; otherwise extensive experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Manage SUE and utility coordination projects from scope development through final delivery and closeout.
• Establish project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, deliverables, and communication protocols.
• Direct SUE services following ASCE 38-22 and client requirements.
• Plan and oversee Quality Level D/C/B/A activities, field data, and testing.
• Coordinate field crews, engineers, designers, and specialty service providers.
• Review records, data, and maps for completeness and consistency.
• Develop QA/QC procedures and manage project risks and changes.
• Lead client communications and maintain professional relationships.
