Job summary

Safe Site Utility Services, LLC in Colorado seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead SUE projects with a focus on accuracy, safety and on-time delivery.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and client communications, coordinating with field crews, utility owners, and agencies to meet project requirements and regulatory needs. This role demands 5+ years in SUE or related fields and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SUE, utility locating/designating or related field with leadership experience.
• Understanding of SUE Quality Levels D–A and related workflow.
• Ability to coordinate field crews, clients, utility owners, and jurisdictions.
• Ability to read civil plans and project scope documents.
• Proficiency with project documentation and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel Colorado.
• No civil engineering degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage SUE projects with Quality Levels D to A, including records, field designation, data collection, and deliverables.
• Develop project schedules and coordinate field crew makeup; communicate priorities daily.
• Serve as primary client contact; manage scope, schedule, access, constraints, deliverables, status.
• Coordinate with Colorado 811, utility owners, municipalities, agencies for records and permits.
• Track scope, budget, labor, subcontractors, and schedule; flag changes early.
• Review field docs, utility data, CAD deliverables before review or delivery.
• Coordinate QA/QC and safety procedures; ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with CAD/mapping staff and PE for stamped deliverables.
• Participate in kickoff, progress, closeout, post-project reviews.
