Job summary

Motorola Solutions' Silvus Technologies is seeking a Business Development Engineer, USSOCOM, to bridge RF capabilities with SOF customer requirements and emerging trends.

You will work with Engineering and Business Development teams to support USSOCOM stakeholders, travel up to 50% to field sites, with a remote option depending on location, and help shape product roadmap inputs based on field feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field.
• 2-5 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense technology roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USSOCOM capability gaps and map operational needs to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and field trials.
• Collaborate with Eng and BD to verify architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with BD to support strategic priorities.
• Assist in building technical demos for low-signature, resilient tactical edge needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses.
• Perform market research for potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with USSOCOM technical stakeholders and S&T leads.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and labs.
