Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with USAF requirements. You will support field trials, create technical demonstrations, and coordinate with engineering and business development teams across airborne and base networking contexts.

The role involves up to 50% travel and a remote work option depending on location, with a strong emphasis on RF/TCP/IP systems and defense program knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Citizen due to clients under U.S. defense programs.

Responsibilities

• Support technical planning and field trials of StreamCaster radios across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to validate architectures and benchmarking data.
• Align with Business Development to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for air, edge, and base networking scenarios.
• Conduct market research for potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with Air Force program offices and AFRL to translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings.
