Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer, US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements. You will work with engineering and business teams to demonstrate interoperability and field readiness of StreamCaster radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

The role involves up to 50% travel, potential remote work by location, and close collaboration with DoD stakeholders to shape product roadmap inputs.

Qualifications

• Exposure to or working knowledge of Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing protocols, or tactical communication systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing US Air Force operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Support technical planning, network configuration, and live-on-the-air field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to verify proposed architectures are technically sound.
• Maintain alignment with the Business Development team to support technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute technical input for RFI/RFP responses and market research.
