Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer, US Air Force, to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will support field trials, demos, and interoperability across airborne and ground networks, collaborating with engineering and business development teams.

Reporting to the Director of Applications Engineering, you will help translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs while enabling tactical edge and base communications with

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree requirement with 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech; or a high school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical comms systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Security clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.
• Understanding of DoD procurement pathways and AF modernization priorities.
• Experience with TCP/IP, Linux, or scripting for test automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; remote teamwork capability.

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data and benchmarking to validate architectures.
• Support Business Development with technical needs and align with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne, edge, and base networking.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Perform market research for partner integrations and end-to-end networks.
• Engage with DoD stakeholders across PEOs, AFRL, AFLCMC, and TOC-L leads.
• Gather field feedback and translate into product roadmap inputs.
• Perform other duties; travel up to 50% for field tests and demos.
