Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements and emerging trends. You will support field demonstrations across airborne, surface, and expeditionary networks, working with engineering and business development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP routing protocols, or tactical comms systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Security Clearance: Government SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, field trials, and live-air execution of tests and modernizations.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to verify architectures with benchmarking data.
• Maintain alignment with Business Development to meet strategic priorities.
• Assist in buildi ng and presenting technical demos for airborne and tactical networks.
• Conduct market research for potential partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Gather field feedback to influence product roadmap inputs and track progress.
