Job summary

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer to bridge RF capabilities with US Air Force requirements and emerging trends. You will support the Applications Engineering team and engage with DoD stakeholders across airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, CS, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical BD, or defense tech roles; OR HS diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan network configurations, and conduct field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing and benchmarking data to verify architectures.
• Support BD with technical needs and align work with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demos for airborne, edge, and expeditionary needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses; perform market research for partner integrations.
• Engage with Air Force PEOs, AFRL, AFLCMC, and TOC-L leads; translate field feedback into roadmap inputs.
