Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions subsidiary, seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force to join the Applications Engineering team. Bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements and emerging trends.

You will support acquisition stakeholders, demonstrate interoperability across airborne, surface, and expeditionary environments, and travel up to 50%. Remote work option may be available based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field with 2-5 years of relevant experience; OR high school diploma with 5+ years in technical/defense roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Basic familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsabilités

• Analyze US Air Force priorities (DAF Battle Network, ACE, ABMS) and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan and oversee network configurations, field trials, modernizations, and user evaluations.
• Collaborate to verify architectures are technically sound and aligned with strategic priorities.
• Support BD team with technical needs and roadmapping inputs.
• Develop and present technical demos for airborne and expeditionary networking needs.
• Contribute to RFI/RFP responses and test end-to-end architectures.
• Travel 25–50% for field tests and demonstrations.
