Intermountain Health is seeking an Enhanced Scheduler to register and schedule patients across Intermountain Healthcare facilities. This role focuses on a single-call scheduling experience, insurance review, and voice-of-customer alignment to optimize patient flow.

The position is on-site at Lutheran Clinic in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with a Monday–Friday schedule and holiday observance. It requires interaction with patients, physicians, and multiple departments to ensure smooth pre-op and post-op

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related experience in a health care organization.
• Regular attendance on site during scheduled hours.
• Understand health insurance and medical costs.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• A team player with professionalism.

Responsabilités

• Maintains the surgery schedule, providing necessary information to patients and physicians.
• Coordinates, registers and schedules appointments for patients according to availability.
• Conducts patient pre-certification on proper insurance approval for appointments and medical care.
• Ensures all pre-operative required tests needed prior to surgery are scheduled and completed.
• Collects patient payments and provides accurate receipts; posts payments in system.
• Communicates detailed surgery preparation instructions and arrival/departure details to patients.
