Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Patient Access/Scheduler to register and schedule patients across Intermountain Health facilities. You will liaise between provider offices and hospital services, coordinating surgeries and obtaining prior authorizations as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of medical registration, billing, collection, scheduling, or insurance experience.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendaring programs.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients; manage provider surgery/hospital procedures and changes.
• Obtain authorizations and verify eligibility and benefits; coordinate referrals for out-of-network patients.
• Prepare iCentra requirements and scheduling cards for hospital staff as applicable.
• Coordinate surgical supplies with nursing staff; place orders day before cases.
• Explain processes to patients; coordinate pre-op labs and any health red flags; document cost estimates and address billing disputes.
