Job summary

MedStar Health Urgent Care is seeking an organized front desk associate to greet patients and coordinate efficient flow through the clinic. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and schedule follow-up appointments and tests as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of relevant education may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and directs them to the appropriate department or provider.
• Registers patients, verifies insurance, and explains patient responsibilities.
• Collects co-pays and posts time-of-service payments accurately.
• Makes appointments, updates demographics and insurance information.
• Answers phones, provides triage support, and prioritizes calls.
