Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a energetic Medical Assistant to support both front office and back-office clinical care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The role involves patient vitals, exams, medication administration, and lab/test processing while maintaining efficient patient flow.

The candidate should be skilled in EMR/EHR systems, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, completing an approved MA training program, and may require national certification if training was

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• If training is unapproved, national certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA) is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, patient vitals, and procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and directions.
• Perform blood draws and may collect urine for testing.
• Assist with splinting, casting, and sports physicals.
• Document in EMR/EHR and notify on duty of any patient safety concerns.
• Support front office reception as needed and process discharge charges.
