Job summary

NextCare is seeking a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office in Richardson, TX to support both clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist providers, take vitals, manage patient flow, perform specimen handling, and ensure accurate documentation in EMR/EHR.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved MA program, with potential national certification.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and completion of an approved MA program.
• National MA certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA) is required or strongly preferred in some states.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical office front desk duties is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams and procedures; take vitals and patient care under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Perform phlebotomy, urine collection, and basic in-clinic procedures as directed.
• Manage front desk duties including patient flow, scheduling, charges, and signatures.
• Maintain laboratory and accreditation readiness; document QA and competency assessments.
• Cross-train for front/back office duties as needed.
