NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to thrive in a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment. You will support providers with exams, take vitals, administer medications, and help with front-office duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completed an APPROVED Medical Assistant training program.
• OR completed an UNAPPROVED MA program AND National Certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA).
• All Other States require the same MA educational route or equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Assists provider with exams, including patient vitals and procedures.
• Administers medications per policy and provider direction.
• Performs blood draws and may collect urine samples.
• May perform splinting and casting and sports physicals.
• Performs wound care and oxygen administration as directed.
• Maintains proficiency in EMR/EHR and adheres to safety protocols.
