NextCare is seeking a energetic Medical Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will assist providers with exams, perform patient vitals and procedures, and support the front office to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an approved MA training program, and valid certification. You will work in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with providers to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completed an APPROVED Medical Assistant training program.
• If not approved, pursue national certification (CMA/AMT/CCMA).
• For all other states, same high school diploma requirement and approved program.
• UNAPPROVED MA program plus 1 year of experience or 2000 hours supervised work may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Assist provider with exams, vitals, and procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing.
• Support front office: manage wait times, discharge processing, and payments.
• Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR and clinical policies.
• Conduct physicals and wound care as part of urgent care duties.
