Zusammenfassung

American Family Care (AFC) is hiring Medical Assistants to join fast-paced urgent care clinics. You’ll greet patients, triage, draw blood, and assist with CLIA-waived tests while verifying insurance and handling front-desk tasks.

You’ll ensure EMR accuracy and communicate clearly about care and financial expectations. Requirements include accredited MA coursework, CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, BLS, and 1+ year in insurance verification or patient registration.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active national MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) at hire.
• At least 1+ year of experience with insurance verification and patient registration required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
• Urgent care or emergency room experience highly valued.
• EMR proficiency (Experity preferred); comfort with payer portals (e.g., Waystar).
• Proven venipuncture and specimen collection skills.

Aufgaben

• Cl inical care: greet and triage patients, collect vitals, venipuncture and POC tests.
• Insurance verification, front desk tasks, and EMR accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and financial expectations; provide discharge instructions.
• Participate in daily huddles, maintain compliance logs, support HIPAA standards.
