American Family Care is hiring an energized Medical Assistant for our corporate urgent care centers. You will triage patients, collect vitals, perform venipuncture, and assist with CLIA-waived tests in a fast-paced setting.

Strong EMR skills (Experity) and experience with insurance verification are required. BLS certification is needed, with weekend/evening shifts possible, and a commitment to patient-first care.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Active national MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) at hire.
• At least 1+ year of experience with insurance verification and patient registration.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain before starting).
• Urgent care or emergency room experience valued.
• EMR proficiency with Experity; familiar with payer portals.

Responsabilidades

• Greet and triage patients, collect vitals/histories, perform venipuncture and CLIA-waived testing.
• Register patients, verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, and maintain EMR accuracy.
• Educate patients on procedures and financial expectations, provide discharge instructions.
• Support infection-control and HIPAA standards; participate in daily huddles and compliance logs.
