Job summary

American Family Care Norfolk Janaf is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee non-physician clinic staff and daily operations at our urgent care facility. You will ensure high-quality patient care, manage building and supplies, and attribute charges accurately. Responsibilities vary by franchise location.

The role requires leadership, regulatory understanding, and a focus on customer satisfaction. Franchised setting with opportunities to improve processes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and consultative communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and ensure patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and onboard frontline staff (front office, medical assistants, x-ray, etc.).
• Supervise, evaluate, and conduct performance reviews for non-provider staff.
• Coordinate with Medical Director to ensure care aligns with physician instructions."
• Ensure staff compliance with company policies and regulatory rules.
• Lead staff meetings, daily huddles, and training programs.
• Address patient and staff concerns while monitoring satisfaction using available tools.
• Ensure accuracy of financial transactions and front-office procedures.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and stock of supplies (medical & janitorial).
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvement programs.
