Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) in Norfolk, VA seeks an operations leader to manage a busy urgent care clinic. You will supervise non-physician staff, ensure quality patient care, and oversee facility maintenance and supplies.

You’ll also ensure accurate patient charges and work with a franchised location where duties vary by franchise. The role requires collaboration with the Medical Director and adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least two years supervisory experience in a medical office preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver high levels of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, and onboard front office staff and clinical support roles.
• Supervise, evaluate, and conduct performance evaluations of non-provider staff.
• Partner with Medical Director to ensure high-quality care is delivered.
• Ensure staff compliance with company policies and state and federal rules.
• Lead staff meetings, daily huddles, and in-service programs.
• Spearhead resolution of patient and staff concerns while monitoring satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with front office procedures and accuracy of financial transactions.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and stock of medical and janitorial supplies.
• Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement programs.
