Job summary

American Family Care, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients within the scope of training and the governing board agreement. The APP will work collaboratively with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction at AFC’s walk-in centers.

The role requires current PA/NP licensure in the state, DEA registration, and board certification. Onsite work, with a focus on episodic acute care, is expected across AFC locations.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family

Responsibilities

• Take detailed health histories, review records, develop medical assessments, and order labs and diagnostics as appropriate.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to facilities or resources.
• Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, or allergic reactions.
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine status and plan of care.
• Provide health care guidance and education to patients and families.
• Other duties as assigned
