Job summary

The University of Montevallo is seeking an Upward Bound Academic Tutor to provide after-school tutoring for high school students in grades 9–12, in math, science, social studies, English and foreign languages (Spanish and French). The position is part-time and temporary with an hourly rate of $10.

The tutor will deliver both in-person and online instruction, offering remediation and academic support as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a 3.0 GPA in the field they will be tutoring.
• Applicants must be dependable with a genuine interest in helping first generation, low income students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

General Description

Education and Experience
