Job summary

The Retail Sales Assistant at Biltmore is responsible for sales, guest service, and accurate cash register operations, with an emphasis on helping guests choose items, checking inventory, and supporting revenue through upsell and cross-sell. This role requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with an average of 20 hours per week.

The position supports shop opening/closing, stocking, cleanliness, and collaboration with leadership and teams across the venue.

Qualifications

• Prior retail or guest service experience preferred.
• Strong guest relations and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service and greet guests warmly; ensure a memorable visit.
• Develop proficiency in POS operations and accurate cash handling.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and setting up sampling areas.
• Restock and merchandise to keep the shop presentable and aligned with the Biltmore brand.
• Maintain product knowledge to upsell and cross-sell effectively.
• Assist leadership and staff with daily shop operations and guest support.
• Maintain courteous phone/radio etiquette and professional behavior.
