Job summary

Biltmore in Asheville, NC seeks a Winery Retail Sales Assistant to deliver exceptional guest service, manage sales, and maintain retail floor operations. You will assist guests, process transactions, upsell, restock, and keep the shop clean and inviting.

Shifts average 20 hours per week with some evenings and weekends, and starting pay is $16.32 per hour. Previous cash handling and retail experience are preferred in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred (6+ months).
• Excellent guest relations and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and cash register/POS operations experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and make their visit memorable.
• Handle money efficiently and accurately.
• Open and close the retail shops.
• Maintain a clean and appealing shop.
• Learn merchandise and assist guests with selections.
• Work with minimal supervision and provide exceptional guest service.
• Promote Wine Club to guests.
• Prepare and maintain samples; manage samples during shop hours.
• Demonstrate proper phone etiquette and handle wine/mail orders accurately.
• Multitask in a high-volume, high-profile environment.
