Job summary

The Winery Retail Sales Assistant at Biltmore Workforce Management is responsible for sales, exceptional guest service, retail floor operations, and accurate cash register operations. This role involves assisting guests with selections, locating merchandise, upselling and cross-selling, and increasing revenues; Reserve: an average of 20 hours per week, anywhere between 40-999 hours per year.

Schedules may vary, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of retail or guest service experience preferred, especially in upscale settings.
• Exceptional guest relations and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math and cash handling with POS experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests and make their visit memorable.
• Efficient handling of money and cash transactions.
• Open and close the retail shops.
• Dust and keep the shop clean and appealing.
• Familiarize yourself with merchandise during the day.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Provide exceptional guest service.
• Promote Wine Club to guests.
• Prepare and maintain food samples and restock as needed.
• Demonstrate proper phone etiquette.
• Process merchandise and wine mail orders accurately.
• Multitask in a high-volume environment while staying attentive.
• Be outgoing and enjoy working with people.
