The Gate House Retail Sales Assistant position at The Biltmore Estate is a part-time Reserve role with a flexible schedule based on business needs and event volume. Shifts can range from light to heavy during peak seasons, with an emphasis on delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a pristine shop presentation.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, handling transactions, restocking, and staying knowledgeable about merchandise to assist customers with confidence.

Qualifications

• Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong guest relations and communication skills.
• Basic math skills and cash handling ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests in a friendly manner.
• Efficiently handle cash and operate the POS system.
• Open and close the retail shop as scheduled.
• Restock merchandise and keep shop clean and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of merchandise and up-sell where appropriate.
• Provide excellent guest service and support leadership.
