Job summary

Biltmore Estate is seeking a Gate House Retail Sales Assistant to provide outstanding guest service and manage sales at the shop. You will greet guests, help with selections, operate the POS, and assist with inventory and shop upkeep to reflect the premium Biltmore brand.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the shop, handling transactions, and collaborating with leadership to maintain high standards. The role offers flexible scheduling based on business needs and volume.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or guest service experience preferred.
• Exceptional guest relations and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register/POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests; provide exceptional guest service.
• Open and close the retail shops as assigned.
• Restock merchandise and maintain shop cleanliness and appearance.
• Assist guests with selections and check inventory locations.
• Upsell and cross-sell to increase revenue.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently with cash handling.
