Job summary

Pearce from CBRE is seeking an Experienced Electronics Technician (UPS Field Service Engineer) to support customers throughout DFW and the surrounding region. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems and related critical power equipment, ensuring reliability for data centers and telecom facilities.

The role requires hands-on experience with UPS, battery systems, and DC power equipment, plus strong safety practices and customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience servicing UPS systems, battery systems, DC power equipment, generators, switchgear, data center infrastructure, or other mission-critical electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS systems, battery plants, DC power systems, PDUs, STS units, inverters, and related critical power equipment.
• Diagnose electrical and control system faults using schematics, test equipment, manufacturer documentation, and industry best practices.
• Install, commission, and replace UPS systems, battery strings, battery monitoring systems, maintenance bypass equipment, and associated power infrastructure.
• Respond to emergency service calls and restore customer systems to operational status while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Complete service reports, maintenance documentation, and customer communications accurately and professionally.
• Develop strong customer relationships through technical expertise and exceptional service delivery.
