Job summary

Vincere is seeking a Senior UPS Field Service Engineer in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to support critical-power equipment across data centers and commercial sites. The role focuses on testing, commissioning, maintenance, and emergency repair of three-phase, double-conversion UPS systems.

You will diagnose faults at the component level, work on live customer sites under pressure, travel as needed, and mentor junior technicians while communicating clearly with customers and service leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on field service experience on three-phase, double-conversion UPS systems.
• Strong component-level troubleshooting skills on UPS equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the service territory.
• Experience in customer-facing roles at live sites under pressure.
• Willingness to mentor junior technicians and share field knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing, commissioning, preventive maintenance and emergency repair on three-phase UPS systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot UPS faults at component level, including IGBTs, battery strings and control boards.
• Support customers across data center, commercial and industrial sites.
• Work on-site in critical-infrastructure environments with emphasis on reliability and safety.
• Travel across the Dallas–Fort Worth service territory; broader regional travel as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers, site teams and service leadership during issues and callouts.

A Senior UPS Field Service Engineer is required for a field-based role supporting critical-power equipment across data center, commercial and industrial customer sites in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

This is a senior hands‑on UPS position focused on three-phase, double‑conversion UPS systems, covering testing, commissioning, preventative maintenance and emergency repair work. The role is suited to an experienced UPS specialist with strong component‑level troubleshooting ability and the communication skills to work professionally on live customer sites under pressure.

The Senior UPS Field Service Engineer / UPS Technician / Field Service Engineer Role:

• Carry out testing, commissioning, preventative maintenance and emergency repair work on three-phase UPS systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot UPS faults at component level, including issues relating to IGBTs, battery strings and control boards.
• Support customers across data center, commercial and industrial sites.
• Work on‑site in critical‑infrastructure environments where reliability, safety and communication are essential.
• Complete hands‑on electrical fault finding and repair work rather than relying only on module swap‑out.
• Travel across the Dallas-Fort Worth service territory, with broader regional travel where required.
• Communicate clearly with customers, site teams and service leadership during technical issues and emergency callouts.
• Support junior technicians where required, including sharing technical knowledge and field‑service best practice.

Senior UPS Field Service Engineer / UPS Technician / Field Service Engineer Requirements:

• Significant hands‑on field service experience working on three-phase, double‑conversion UPS systems.
• Strong UPS troubleshooting experience, including component‑level diagnostics.
• Background as a Senior UPS Field Service Engineer, UPS Technician, Field Service Engineer, Critical Power Technician or similar hands‑on UPS service role.
• Experience with preventative maintenance, testing, commissioning and repair work on customer sites.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the DFW service territory, with broader regional travel as needed.
• Physical capability for field work, including repetitive bending and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to pass background checks required for data center site access.

Desirable Experience:

• Toshiba UPS system experience.
• Experience with UPS platforms such as Eaton, Vertiv or Schneider.
• NETA certification or formal OEM factory training.
• Experience mentoring or training junior technicians.
