Job summary

Pearce, a CBRE company, seeks an Experienced Critical Power Field Technician to support UPS and related power infrastructure in Richmond, Virginia and the surrounding region. You will perform preventive maintenance, emergency service, commissioning support, and battery services in mission-critical environments including data centers and telecom facilities.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on UPS experience, schematics literacy, travel within the territory, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience servicing UPS systems and related power infrastructure.
Experience with manufacturers such as Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider Electric/APC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, ABB.
Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical theory and battery technology.
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the service territory.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS systems and related equipment.
Diagnose electrical and control system faults using schematics and test equipment.
Install, commission, and replace UPS systems, batteries, and power infrastructure.
Respond to emergency service calls and restore systems safely and promptly.
Complete service reports and maintain accurate customer communications.
