Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Entry-Level Electronics Technician (UPS Field Engineer) to support customers across the DFW area. The role focuses on learning to inspect, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair UPS systems, battery plants, and related equipment while training under experienced technicians.

Ideal candidates have a foundation in electronics, a safety-first mindset, and a willingness to travel. No prior UPS field service required, with hands-on training provided.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electronics, electrical systems, AC/DC theory gained through training or coursework.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and equipment docs.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned service territory, including overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Complete company-provided classroom, safety, equipment, and hands-on field training.
• Assist experienced technicians with preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs of UPS systems and related equipment.
• Learn to identify and troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, instruments and documentation.
• Support installation, commissioning, and replacement of UPS systems and batteries.
• Perform visual inspections, document readings, and report potential problems to senior technicians.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, dispatchers, and other field technicians.
